Walking into my first class with paints, brushes and canvas,
I was excited about painting, but in practice it quickly became clear
that it would be helpful to be able to draw the picture before painting,.
It has been an interesting experience with lots of practice to feel
confidence in learning to draw. And drawing people is fascinating.
I especially enjoy sketching and painting the presenters and speakers
at our AEOPA conferences and seeing their surprise when they are
presented their likeness as a token of their time with us.
